Step by Step Guide on How to change media visibility of a contact or group chat in WhatsApp.

The following steps are the same for both contacts, number or group chat.

Click on the user’s number, contact or group info, kindly scroll little bit just after ‘custom notifications’ you will see “Media visibility” click on it >> there are three options provided first is the ‘Default’ second ‘Yes’ while the last one is ‘No’, here both default and yes works the same if you click one of them all your chat media will be visible in your gallery but when you choose the ‘No’ option all the media file you receive will not be invisible in your gallery but you can found it any time in your chat history if you didn’t clear  it out.

Note: This feature as for now works separately, one step doesn’t work for all chats means if you want to hide your media file for two users or two groups in WhatsApp you need to follow the above steps and assign it to each number, contact or group.  that’s it!

This is mainly designed to help group admins and those responsible for managing groups in WhatsApp to add description about the group that is what the group is all about e.g. mission and vision of the group, Aims, and objective etc. you can also add rules and regulation using this feature so that to allow the new members to see without distraction. And this description will be visible to only participants and people invited to the group.

      1.    Enter the group you want to add the description

   2. Click on the name or header of the group (where you add and remove members)

      3.    You will see “add group description” click on it

       1.    Open your WhatsApp application

   2. Simply Go to settings >>> click on accounts >>> and choose Two-step-verification    

      

      3.    Now click on the “Enable” the next you have to do is to provide six (6) digits that you can easily remember insert them and click on the next button it will ask you to re-enter the security code again do so by re-adding the digits you have provided before and hit the next button.

    4.    It will ask you to provide your unique and active email address to your account which will be used to reset your pin in case you have forgotten it do so to make your account more secure, if you don’t have an email address this post would guide you on how to create unique email address using Gmail. So after you have provided your email address hit on the next button to proceed.       

     You will be asked to reconfirm your email address to avoid future problem do so by re-typing your email address and click on the save button. That’s it!! You are done!!

While the second important button is the “Delete for Everyone” ones you click on this button the text that you have sent will eventually disappear but you the sender and the receiver will not be able to see that text it will automatically change to ‘You deleted this message’. That’s it!! And You are done!

    Note: there are some difference which you need to know; if you are the one that sends the message the receiver can only delete for himself but he can’t delete for both of you, but the sender can delete the message for both of you.
