Adding new pages and blog posts in Wordpress.com
Adding new pages and blog posts in Wordpress.com

To create new posts and pages you have to use the dashboard options. For posting use “Post” and for pages use “Page” -> “Add new”.

I usually don’t bother myself much with pages. In short, “pages” are usually your Contact location while posts are your blogging posts. Quite simple, right?

So let’s create first blog post and see how it goes. In order to do that, you have to click on “Post” then click on the “Add new” button.

Here’s an example of my first blog post (you need to click on “Publish” to make it live).
Before you hit the Publish button, you can add some “tags” to make it more “searchable”. if you add correct tags, it’s easier to find your blog from the search engines.

However, don’t be too excited since new blogs won’t get much traffic at first. You have to share it with your friends, colleagues and use Twitter/Facebook etc.

WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)
WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)

Hy Welcome to Guide Tricks today in this post, you are going to learn how to start a blog for FREE on WordPress.comWordPress.com is a free blogging platform where you can submit your articles and posts for the public just similar to Blogger.com, However, both platforms have their own strict rules and regulation some post are not allowed for example post related to porn, gambling, and pharmacy.

That’s quite understandable, right? Many people tend to start their blogging interest from there, but most them quickly move on to personal domains and start using the Self Hosting.
Why so? Well, both Blogger.com and WordPress.com have too many restrictions and it’s not wise to keep blogging sub-domain. what is a sub-domain? In short, you are basically blogging for another website. In this situation, it would be WordPress.com your blog URL will also be part of WordPress domain.

Here are some examples of blogs hosted on WordPress.com and Blogger.com:

Creating Blog in Wordpress.com is actually very simple All you need to do is to visit WordPress.com and click start and it will help you set up your blog. But for this post I’ll be Guiding you through the first steps which are:

==> First, choose a homepage layout
==> Then, choose a theme
==> Next, choose a domain (blog address/blog name)
==> Pick a plan
Create your account

Step 1. Choose A Homepage Layout

WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)

The first thing you need to do before proceeding is to choose a homepage layout for your blog. There are basically four possible options. I would recommend “A list of my latest posts” because this is the most common format for an If you are a photographer or have really nice photos, then you should choose “a grid of my latest posts”. For businesses, “a welcome page for my site” or “an online store” is most appropriate.

Step 2. Choose A Theme

WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)

A theme is a structure or interface on how your blog would look like in color and structure. Don’t worry you can choose anyone for now because you can change the theme including the colors pictures later!  If you pick something similar to what you’re looking for now, it will save you a little time down the road.

Step 3. Choose A Domain (Blog Address/Blog Name)

Unfortunately, it’s pretty difficult to find unique and somewhat memorable blog address on WordPress. because most of them are already taken. Here’s what I tried to get: abbagana, Muhammad – but they were all unavailable. Finally, I was able to get myself registered but the blog name turned out pretty gauche –abbaganatechblog.wordpress.com

Can I change the Name?

Yes, of course, you can change your domain name from something.wordpress.com to something.com but domains extension is actually not free you need to pay something at the end of each year it cost only $10-15 USD, If you are considering buying your own domain, WordPress.com is not the best place to do it.  Here is a guide on how to buy a domain name. but I suggest you think clearly and come up with a fantastic name that will be easily remembered before buying and don’t worry – you don’t have to buy a domain from WordPress in order to use their blogging.

Step 4. Pick A Plan
WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)

Once you have completed the basics steps above, here you need to click on “Select Free” button. There is no need to use the paid version since it’s pretty expensive and does not give you many advantages I believe that its disadvantages are more than his advantage so just go for the Free.

Step 5. Create your account
WordPress Blog: Simple Guide On How To Start Free Blog (2018 Guide)

Here is a place provided where you can create your blog login details that will be used in future.

E-mail Address: That’s obviously the e-mail address you are using the most. In my case, it would Gmail account insert it there.
Username: Doesn’t really matter. I tried to use my personal name, but unfortunately, it was taken. your desirable username is not free, then add some numbers until it’s unique. Don’t worry, this would not be your blog name.
Password: Strong one! I suggest you use special characters like “^^” or “@(/&#” and different numbers. To avoid hacking because There are lots of ugly hackers trying to break into blogs lately.

As you can see, it wasn’t difficult at all. In fact, it only took me 4 minutes and 52 seconds. I hope you can now simply create your own free blog using WordPress.com from Now.

I hope you found this handy guide helpful. Feel free to drop your question if you have any using the comment section below and Don’t forget to share this article with your friends and lovely one’s Happy blogging!

Wordpress

What is WordPress?

Hello Welcome to Guide Tricks Tutorial Today I am going to Discuss About WordPress, right by the way what does WordPress really Means? WordPress is an open source software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. It just may be the easiest and most flexible blogging and website content management system (CMS) for beginners. WordPress is web publishing software you can use to create your own beautiful website or blog. it was created in 2003, WordPress has become one of the most popular and easily web publishing platforms. Today it powers more than 70 million websites! that enables you to build and manage your own full-featured website using your web browser. WordPress it’s completely FREE. That’s because WordPress is an ‘Open Source’project. That means that hundreds of volunteers from all around the world are constantly creating and improving the code for the WordPress software. It only uses plugins and themes for customization.

So, how does WordPress work?

Since the earliest days of the Internet, websites have been created in HTML programming language that utilizes instructions called ‘tags’ to format text, page layouts, images, and so on. Your web browser then reads this HTML code, interpreting those tags to render and display the content of a particular page. Today, you can install the WordPress software script on your own web server in about 5 minutes. Once installed, you’ll use a simple, web-based editor to create web pages —without having to learn HTML or other Programming Language. There is even a hosted version at WordPress.com that allows you to create a new WordPress-powered website in just a few seconds. And, because it’s built on industry-standard PHP and MySQL, WordPress can run on just about any modern web server. There are several reasons WordPress is a great choice for building your blog or business website some are as follows:-

   1.    WordPress is Open Source. That means that there are hundreds of people all around the world working on improving the structure and also the security.

    2.   It’s User-friendly. Rather than having to hire a web designer or contact a “webmaster” every time you want to make a small change to your website, you can easily manage and update your own content without having to learn HTML

    3.    Flexible and extensible. There are thousands of plugins and themes that enable you to easily change the entire look of your website, or even add new features like polls or contact forms, with just a few clicks.

    4.    if you run into problems, or you want to add custom features, it’s easy to find support or hire someone to help you. In addition to the WordPress tutorials on this site, there are also thousands of WordPress developers and designers who can help you. The official WordPress Forum is a great place to get answers to your questions.

    5.    WordPress is SEO-friendly. Right out of the box, WordPress includes everything you need to ensure that your content is optimized for search engines.

    6.    Last, you’re in control of your own content. Other publishing platforms like Blogger, Wix limit what you can and can’t do on your own website. And, you’re locked in to that service. If it should ever shut down, your content could simply disappear. With WordPress, you can import your data from other systems like Blogger or Tumblr. And you can also easily export your data to move away from WordPress, should you choose. You’re in control of your site…and your content. Is WordPress right for you? If you’re looking for an easy tool that will help you to build your own blog or website without learning complicated HTML, WordPress is right for you. And, you’ll find that WordPress is incredibly flexible, with thousands of themes, plugins, and support options to ensure that your site will continue to grow with you in the future.
